Senior portraits that actually look like you.

Your style. Your locations. Your story.

The kind of photos where you stop and look again. Because that's really you. And you think I look amazing.

Most seniors come in without a plan. Not a mood board, not a shot list, just something they've been hoping for and no idea how to get there yet. That's normal. You're not supposed to already know how to do this.

We (Mike and Angi) direct every part of it. Every pose, every setup, the location, the light. You won't be standing there trying to figure out what to do with your hands. You show up, and we take it from there. Most seniors come in a little nervous and forget about it within the first twenty minutes.

What we're doing in those two or three hours is drawing out the version of you that doesn't usually show up in front of a camera, and putting her in the frame.

Show up. That's the whole job.

What they're saying

They have the ability to get photo-shy folks to relax for great photos. Extremely creative, come up with out-of-the-box ideas — and most of all, so very responsive and responsible.
— Kathleen H
When I first mentioned senior portraits, my son wanted nothing to do with it. He didn’t think he’d enjoy it or that the photos would even look good. After working with Mike and Angi, he came home talking about pursuing professional modeling.
— Roxanne G
Senior photo sessions are really fun. Mike and Angi make it easy for everyone to look like a real model
— Zaccai C
He really got to know her and what she likes and brought that out in her pictures. They all turned out so well I couldn’t decide — I ended up buying at least one of each pose
— Catherine S

How it works

Three steps. Zero guesswork.

From your first conversation with us to the moment you choose what to keep. Here's exactly what happens, and why you won't have to figure any of it out yourself.

STEP 1 — PLAN

It starts with a conversation.

You come in for a free consultation with no commitment attached. You look through images from each of our locations, pick where you want to shoot, and talk through how many outfits to bring. We cover packages and pricing too, so nothing at the ordering appointment catches you off guard. If everything feels right, the $199 session fee books your date. Either way, you leave knowing exactly what to expect.

You'll leave knowing exactly what comes next.

STEP 2 — SHOOT

On location. Every shot directed.

Your session runs two to three hours on location, in the places you chose. Mike takes the photos, directing every pose and reading the light. Every setup starts with direction: where to stand, where to look, how to hold yourself. Angi manages the lights and keeps the energy moving, watching for what Mike can't see from behind the camera. There's no fixed shot list. The senior who shows up nervous usually loosens up within the first twenty minutes.

What we're doing in those two or three hours is drawing out the version of you that doesn't usually show up in front of a camera.

STEP 3 — CHOOSE

You'll know which ones are yours the moment you see them.

About a week to ten days after your session, you come back in to see your images for the first time, full size and in person. This is where you choose what to keep: wall art, albums, graduation announcements, digital files. The real expression, the private smile, the image you'll recognize as you. The order covers what goes on the wall and what you want to share. We reserve 90 minutes for the appointment. Most families take about an hour.

What makes the difference

A lot of photographers can take a nice photo. Here's what you're actually getting.

Two people on set. Each focused on one job.

Most photographers work solo, one person managing the camera, the light, the direction, and the energy all at once. We split the job. Mike is behind the camera, directing every pose and reading the light, waiting for that second when you relax and your smile is real. Angi manages the lights and keeps the energy moving, watching what a viewfinder can't catch: hand placement, a hair out of place, a strap that needs adjusting before the shot. Nothing falls through. That's usually how the real moments get captured.

You'll know what the session looks like before it starts.

Before the shoot, you come in for a free consultation. You look through images from each of our locations to find the right fit, talk through how many outfits to plan for, and walk through packages and pricing in full. There's no commitment required to show up. If you book, you leave with a date and a plan. No surprises from there.

Studio-quality lighting. Any location.

We bring professional lighting to every session. We can place you with the sun behind you for a natural cinematic glow, keep your face perfectly lit, and control the background so the colors read the way they should. The location you pick is a creative decision, and the lighting works wherever you go.

You see your images the way they're meant to be seen.

When your images are ready, you come in to see them for the first time, full size and in person. That's intentional. The difference between a good image and one that belongs on a wall only becomes clear at scale, and the in-person appointment is where that happens. You'll know what you love when you see it the right way. Most people describe this appointment as the moment the whole thing pays off.

Let's talk numbers.

The session fee is $199, and it books your date. It's separate from what you'll spend on your photos.

Packages start at $1,200. Most families spend around $2,000, which usually includes wall art, an album, graduation announcements, and digital files of the images you order.

Product pricing is covered in full at your consultation. You won't choose a package until your ordering appointment, after the session. You'll know exactly what everything costs before you commit to anything.

Questions worth asking

Q: When should we book?

The families who have the smoothest experience start with a summer consultation and schedule their shoot for early to mid fall. Availability is best, the light and weather are most flexible, and if something comes up (a conflict, a weather issue) there's room to reschedule without any pressure.

Spring shoots are possible, but those spots are limited and fill quickly. There's also no cushion: if a late-spring shoot needs to move for weather, there often isn't a good date left before its too late to get your order in before graduation. Products take about a month to arrive after your ordering appointment, so mid-April is the practical last-shoot window.

If you're thinking about it, the best time to reach out is now. A summer conversation sets up a fall shoot with everything working in your favor.

Q: How much does it cost?

The session fee is $199 and books your shoot date. Packages start at $1,200, and most families spend around $2,000. We walk through everything in detail at your consultation.

Q: What if I feel awkward on camera?

Most people do, at least at first. That's exactly what we're there for. You won't be standing there trying to figure out what to do. Every pose is directed, every setup is guided. Most seniors feel pretty comfortable by the time they're a few shots in. The awkward feeling doesn't last. The photos do.

Q: What if my senior is skeptical about the whole thing?

That's more common than you'd think, and it's fine. Some seniors show up somewhere between "whatever" and "this is going to be awkward." They leave with images they actually want to post. We work with what your senior brings: their sport, their style, their energy. The senior who walks in nervous usually loosens up within the first twenty minutes.

Q: What if I already have ideas for the session?

Good. Bring them. A reference photo, a location you've had in mind, a style you've been drawn to, even a Pinterest board. The consultation is the right place for all of it. And if you don't have anything specific yet, that's fine too. Most seniors come in without a detailed plan. That's what the consultation is for.

Q: Does it matter where we shoot?

Yes. Location sets the tone for the whole session, and each spot has its own feel. We have nine locations across the Houston and Galveston areas we shoot regularly: urban, wooded, waterfront, open field, and others. You'll look through them at your consultation and pick what fits.

If your senior has somewhere specific in mind (a family property, a place that means something to them), we're open to it. The main thing is that it either has enough variety to carry a two-hour session on its own, or it's close enough to one of our regular spots that we can continue the shoot there.

You can see all nine locations in the Houston Senior Portrait Guide.

Q: What happens at the consultation?

It's a real conversation. You look through images from each of our locations, pick where you want to shoot, talk through outfits, and walk through our packages so you know what to expect before the session ever happens. If it's a good fit, the $199 session fee books your date. Most consultations run about an hour.

Q: When do we see the finished images?

About a week to ten days after your session, you come in for your ordering appointment. You see your images full size, in person, for the first time. That's how it works here, and it's intentional. Once the order is placed and images are retouched, we'll set up a private online gallery for gift prints and sharing. The in-person appointment is where the real decisions happen.

Q: What should I bring to the session?

We'll cover everything at your consultation. The short version: up to seven outfit options and anything meaningful: a jersey, an instrument, a prop, a vehicle. Cap and gown and letter jackets don't count as full outfits; we add those on top of one of your outfits for a few shots. If it's part of who you are, it belongs in the frame.

Q: How do we get started?

Schedule a free consultation. We'll take it from there.

This is your year.

Senior year has a way of arriving faster than anyone planned for. The version of you who exists right now (this one, before the next chapter starts) is the one worth documenting. We've been working with Houston-area seniors since 2012. Let's plan yours.
