Personal Branding and Headshots
What are Personal Branding Portraits?
When we talk about “branding images”, we often think of a product, and a set of images that tell a story about that product, that convey a feeling about owning or using that product. Personal branding images do the same thing, but the product is your most important one – YOU!
Your personal branding session is designed to produce images of you that position you as someone who is credible, authentic, and trustworthy. The images are designed to help you create an online presence that shows the “real” you, and help you reach your ideal customer, client, or employer.
The most basic level of personal branding image is the headshot, and its modern incarnation, the profile picture. Your profile picture can affect how people see you before they even read your profile. Subconsciously, people make judgements about someone from their picture about that person’s trustworthiness, credibility, and warmth. In one study, recruiters only looked at profiles for around 6 seconds. They spent 20% of their time on the photo.
We offer two levels of service for personal branding.
A headshot session is the most basic approach to branding. It is your basic profile image for LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social media. It’s a basic head and shoulders image, to ensure that the most important thing, your face, is prominent in a small profile image.
